In February 2006 the ATF Hire Group Pty Ltd (“ATF”) merged with Deck Guardrail (“Deck”) to enhance the capacity to provide customers with a broader range of products, a “one stop shop” for the provision of site safety equipment within the building & construction industries, industrial and event management markets. The ATF Hire Group’s range of product consists of; Temporary Fencing, Roof Guardrail and temporary fall protection systems. The merger greatly emphasises the ability of the ATF group to expand on geographical terms both within Australia and New Zealand. The Temporary Fencing is branded as ATF Temporary Fencing.

Deck started in 1989 and is a leading distributor of roof edge protection safety systems throughout Australia and New Zealand to both the domestic, industrial and commercial sites.

Deck was the first company to develop and supply temporary Guardrail fall protection systems to the construction industry.

ATF Managing Director, and founder, Derek Rynenberg indicated that the merger with Deck is part of an ongoing plan to expand the existing business both via a product and geographical strategy. “We are now able to bring to the market a complete one stop shop with a fuller product range of safety equipment to both residential and non-residential construction sectors and will rely on the expertise via both Group’s to expand into new parts of Australia and New Zealand. We welcome the merger, particularly the expertise and experience of Deck’s senior managers and the ability to reach the Deck existing customer base”. The former Deck Guardrail product will now be branded: ATF Guardrail.

ATF has expanded its agency network in New Zealand and now has offices in Whangarei, Auckland, Tauranga and Wellington, with rapid expansion plans for more offices in the North Island and South Island in the future.
